My love of being active has been part of me since I can remember!  From basketball with my brothers, to climbing trees, to riding my bike all over the neighborhood... I grew up being attracted to all things active!  That interest only grew as I got older and began learning more of the science and anatomy of our bodies, the biomechanics of movement, and the amazing way God designed them to work!

I was fortunate enough to pursue college athletics, both as a player and coach, and experience success there.
I played soccer at Butler Community College ('03-'04), then joined the coaching staff ('05-'06) while also coaching at Trinity Academy High School in Wichita, KS ('05-'06).  During my four years with the Butler Soccer program we won four conference titles, made two district playoff appearances, and earned an overall record of 66-11-3.  While coaching, I gained experience developing strength and conditioning programs for my players, both individually and as a team, seeing firsthand the difference proper training can make on performance and injury prevention.

In 2007, after graduating from Wichita State University with a BA in Exercise Science, I became a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.  I transitioned into full time strength and conditioning as a coach for Player Development Solutions (PDS), a private physical therapy and fitness facility in Wichita, KS.  While there, I worked with athletes of all ages and sports including soccer, basketball, baseball, football, swimming, volleyball, track, and tennis.  My specialties included speed & agility, strength, injury prevention and post-rehab training.  The importance of individualized fitness training, proper form, and movement mechanics goes well beyond the realm of athletics.  I also worked with adults and special population, educating them on weight management, strength training, injury prevention, increased daily function, and proper technique.

Then in 2010, I ventured into the entrepreneurial world!  I've grown tremendously since then in my knowledge and understanding of the human body and how movement impacts all aspects of our life.  I truly believe the best way to help people is through a TEAM effort!  I have developed relationships for other professionals in the Wichita area to use as resources when necessary!  Check out my T & T page to learn more about them!

I look forward to what God has in store for me and Fit To Go... I hope the next step in my journey includes you!
