I have had Katy as my exercise specialist for several years. She is great! She is well informed (has a degree from WSU in Exercise Science), and keeps herself updated on issues related to physical fitness. Her certification to be an exercise specialist isn’t just your run of the mill “personal trainer” certification, either. One has to have a bachelor’s degree in a related physical fitness field, to even be eligible to take the test to become a CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist). She has a lot of knowledge about balancing the development of different muscle groups to teach our bodies how to work together, creating efficient movements to decrease the stress on our bodies and gain long-term results. One of the best ways I have (unfortunately) discovered that Katy’s workouts make a big difference in my fitness, is when I have let myself go for several weeks or a couple of months doing the workouts only occasionally. It makes a big difference, rather quickly!! On the other hand, recently I was able to work out with Katy 5 times in a 2-week period, and doing that made a big difference quickly too!! Whether Katy writes you a plan for you to execute on your own or if she supervises your workouts personally, workouts from Katy are effective (only if you do them, though!), and you will feel and look better as a result. No question about it!

When I was 68 yrs old and recovering from a fall that resulted in broken bones, I decided it was time for me to get back in shape and regain my strength. When a friend told me about how much Katy had helped her, that she had a degree from WSU in Exercise Science, was a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, and she would even come to my home, I was convinced Katy was just what I needed. I wasn’t driving much yet, and it was really a blessing for her to come to my home for our sessions. Katy is very knowledgeable, dedicated, caring, and dependable. She has a lot of experience training and coaching athletes, but she can also help anyone of any age who wishes to get stronger. I can now do everything I did before the fall, only now I know the proper body mechanics to use, and the exercises to maintain my strength and flexibility. She also helped me with my balance issues. I now understand the key to rehabilitation is to get fit and stay fit. Katy can help you accomplish these goals as she did for me.

Katy taught me how to run correctly which made me faster at running bases in baseball. I could steel bases with confidence. The training helped my legs get stronger which I really noticed with my swimming.

As parents, we try to give our kids all the tools they need to succeed in the things that they love and have a passion. We have four children, and unfortunately, sometimes the monetary aspect of programs can prevent giving them such opportunities. I can tell you, without reserve, that the money we have invested with Katy and her fitness program has made for INVALUABLE rewards for our kids that will last a lifetime. Not only is it worth the money, but we have seen through Katy’s hard work, dedication, extraordinary coaching skills, and obvious passion for her craft, our kids have gained skills that will help them in their all around games. They learn and have a BLAST all at the same time. We play basketball, volleyball, soccer, baseball, softball, tee ball, golf, tennis, football...it helps in their all around game no matter the diamond, field, or court!
